		<description>At our office, there are always buts.  "But I was never trained that way" "But I was only rude because the caller was rude to me"  “But I didn’t realize that having no pulse was a bad thing”

Have you ever noticed how when it’s you giving the excuse it sounds completely reasonable but when you are on the receiving end it often sounds ridiculous?  And we feel entitled to use exceptions as a coverup for our shortcomings and rebellions, but never would we want someone else to use them on us.

Exceptions seem like a pretty good tool for the devil to use in our Christian walk.  We are so used to saying “but” in our daily lives; how easy it would be for that small word to separate us from God.</description>
